Once in Royal Trafford Council

JUST because recycling isn't top of my agenda this time of year (or any time of year for that matter), doesn't mean that The Black Bin Bag can't be in a festive mood.
So with Christmas Day fast approaching I present an alternative version of Once in Royal David's City, with apologies to H J Gauntlett.
Once in Royal Trafford Council, stood a lowly wheelie bin, where the residents threw their rubbish, cos they thought it wasn't a sin.
But the council bigwigs did decree, there should be a slop bucket for you and me.
Put you turkey bones in this bucket, cos your wheelie bin the council took it.
Our new bins came down to earth from the council, who think their God and Lord of all.
But despite their misgivings, these new bins mean sod all.
