Father Christmas is Loading his Sleigh

Father Christmas, courtesy of Urmston Lions Club, is getting ready for his eagerly anticipated and much talked about stop over at the Garden Centre in Flixton and this year will be available between 11.00am and 3.00pm for the three weekends before Christmas commencing Saturday 1st December 2007. Father Christmas is so looking forward to meeting the many boys and girls from around the area and hearing what they are hoping to receive this Christmas and as usual the Garden Centre is reserving a very special area for Santa to use during his time in Flixton. Lets hope all the local children remember to be good and help out at home on the lead up to the forthcoming festivities. A free gift will be given to every child who sees Santa.

Two recent events have brought back fond memories to local residents and members of Urmston Lions Club. The Flixton Carnival, where Lions on this occasion put up a gazebo filled with cuddly toys which went to new homes in the community and a 'Nostalgia Afternoon', reminiscences and tea for the over 60s.
