2008 has been another successful year for Timperley Brass Band which has seen it continue to achieve ever higher musical standards. This year the band has consolidated its position and continues to improve in the world rankings with the aim to get in to the top 50 brass bands worldwide in 2009 having broken into the top 100 in 2007.

Timperley Civic Society regularly checks over the latest planning permissions which are being applied for in the Timperley area. The object of this scrutiny is to try and ensure that there are no developments in the village which would have a detrimental effect on the area, either because of something destroyed, or something undesirable being built. We are also concerned for the wellbeing of the local residents.

Bletchley Park, a quiet unobtrusive country mansion set in acres of land, in Buckinghamshire, just a few minutes' walk from the railway station and trains to London. During World War II, thousands of men and women toiled endlessly, day and night in the Park, doing vital work which is said to have shortened the war by several years.
