A CHARITY event raised more than a thousand pounds at the Trafford Centre. Staff and beneficiaries of Caudwell Children, a organisation that aims to raise money for children in need, boosted funds by £1,131 after carrying out collections at Debenhams. The money has been awarded to three-year-old Harrison Linley of Macclesfield, who suffers from Hydrocephalus, a disorder that results in fluid on the brain. He will now receive a specially adapted chair for his disability. Trudi Beswick, CEO of the charity, said: “It is with great thanks to Debenhams, and the generosity of shoppers that we were able to carry out the collections. “They have really helped make a difference to the life of another child.” To date, the charity has provided direct donations of more than £7m in life changing treatments, therapies and specialist equipment to over 2,000 children. For more information about the charity, contact the team on 0845 300 1348 or visit www.caudwellchildren.com.
