SUMMER 2008 sees Trafford facing difficult times, along with the rest of the nation.

But instead of wilting under the weight of a stalled housing market, rising prices and a sea of negativity, it’s time to be inspired by the things you can do to weather the storm.

Instead of becoming stressed about your inability to sell your property, for example, why not decide to make improvements so that when the market bursts into life again, you will be inundated with potential buyers?

Whether you are planning to sell in the near future or just want to make your home environment more pleasant, now is a good time to make those improvements. There may be good deals around, and the better weather at this time of the year will help the work to go ahead without too many disruptions.

The important thing in worrying times is to keep up your spirits. If you concentrate on keeping fit and looking good for the summer, you will benefit from a boost of self esteem and the effects of those ‘feel good’ hormones.

Whether you are preparing to go on holiday or staying at home and sampling the delights of Trafford’s entertainment venues and outdoor spaces, you will want to look your best.

Remember that negative thoughts breed negative thoughts, so keep smiling through the uncertainty, and be determined that you will stay optimistic all summer long.
